Hygiene chemical specialist Christeyns UK has held its first live event since 2019, to review, reconnect and plan for the future. The Christeyns Leadership Conference last month set out to bring its key management team back together face to face to focus on value, performance and team working.

Neil Jones, Christeyns UK managing director, led the two-day event which looked at developments from all areas of the business over the past eighteen months. This included coping with Covid-19 and its impacts on the business, the innovation that resulted from these challenges and developments for the future.

Key issues discussed were continuous improvement and driving value but other areas of interest included the firm’s Green agenda, training and development and safety.

The conference heard business insights from three guest speakers, James Mason, outgoing Chief Executive, Welcome to Yorkshire; Ally Stephenson, head of purchasing at Greggs and Will Hicks, operations director at Ibstock.

“Given the challenges we have all faced over the past 18 months, the conference provided an opportunity to review where we are as a collective UK business, discuss where we are heading and simply to reconnect in person,” stated Neil.

The conference welcomed more than 70 of the management team from the UK and Ireland with representatives from all the Christeyns UK divisions, including laundry, food hygiene, specialist construction chemicals and professional hygiene.
