Renzacci is supplying the Italian Navy with its i-Genius 2.0 Ozone Cabinet to sanitise face masks manufactured and distributed by an industrial plant belonging to the Italian Defense, located in La Spezia.

A spokesperson for Renzacci said: “We are honoured and proud to be suppliers to the Italian Navy in this important initiative that sees it as a leading and extremely innovative player as the first public body to have obtained the authorisation for the production and distribution of surgical masks from the Italian National Institute of Health.

“Responding to a request from the management of the Military Arsenal of La Spezia, promoter and director of the operation, the Italian Navy Staff Command, financed this important project to provide surgical masks  to defeat Covid-19. All this was made possible by the prestigious Italian Defense industrial plant located in La Spezia which, with inventiveness and foresight, was able to adapt its machinery to produce effective, ultra light simple and compact masks.”

Italian Navy frigate captain Gianmarco Pelliccia (pictured with a sanitised mask) who developed the project, said that the lockdown promoted thought that a team inititative was needed to work for the communityat a time when masks were a rare commodity it became clear there was fast becoming an urgent need for them.

According to Renzacci: “The effectiveness, quality of results and reliability of our REnzacci i-Genius 2.0 Ozone Cabinet were the factors in the organisation choosing the machine to sanitise the masks produced. This fact, once again rewards the large investment in research and development made by Renzacci, with the exclusive technology and know-how, all Italian, developed in order to obtain such advanced and complete sanitisation results that pass the most severe and strict examinations.”
