A R Materials Handling has designed and developed segregation screens to keep workers safe on ironer lines as businesses start getting back on stream.
Director Andy Robinson said: “I thought of the stepping stones to get people working alongside each other once the work comes back through the doors. One of the most congested areas where colleagues work shoulder to shoulder with each other is at the front of an ironer. Hence the reason I designed and made the segregation screens.
“Up to now we’ve sold over 100 units and had a fantastic response with encouraging comments. They’re even talking about keeping them in place even after when this pandemic is over.
“A R Materials Handling is in the business of engineering solutions to problems.
Problems are what we thrive on…let’s see what we’re able to come up with to get our fantastic industry back in full swing as soon as the hospitality industry opens up,” said Robinson.
The screens are available in 3- or 4-station options with the screens themselves made form polycarbonate clear windows on a powder coated mild steel frame. They are easy to assemble with just one Allen key, said Robinson and are easy to move and lock in position on braked castors.
