Special Occasion Linen, the specialists in event linen hire, has relaunched after a substantial investment of more than £200,000. Special Occasion Linen was launched by parent company CLEAN over 15 years ago and has gone on to build an enviable portfolio of client partners across the UK.

The short-term linen hire supplier to the events industry has also undergone a full rebrand and developed a new website to encourage planners to create an exquisite atmosphere by embracing quality linen.

Offering a 32-strong colour collection of table linens, runners, chair covers and napkins, Special Occasion Linen’s extensive selection of responsibly sourced fine linens enables event managers, wedding planners, stylists, caterers, hotels, venues and stadia to create a sense of occasion for any event.

Last year the company supplied 1,668,000 napkins, 406,000 square and rectangular tablecloths, 76,000 round tablecloths, 17,000 table runners, 2,537 chair covers, 1,558 sashes, 1,531 waiters’ aprons and 803,000 serving cloths to a range of high-profile events across the UK.

Design and excellence have always been at the forefront of Special Occasion Linen’s service with every individual item being checked by hand to ensure the quality and shade is consistent. As well as ethically sourcing its linen from the finest international mills, the company also works with UK-based suppliers to manage the process closely, enabling larger quantity short-lead or bespoke requests to be delivered at its consistent high standards.

Alastair Young, business development manager at Special Occasion Linen, said: “We’re so excited to unveil the relaunch of Special Occasion Linen following over six months of planning and work.

“Our focus on quality and service further sets us apart in the industry and we want to continue working in partnership with event planners and stylists to use colour more in their table settings. Typically, a lot of people would just use white linen for events and wouldn’t necessarily think about how linen can really enhance their chosen colour scheme. Our aim is to get people to think about what colour linen they’ll use for their event instead of not giving it a second thought.

“Our overall goal is for Special Occasion Linen to be the go-to company for linen for the event industry.”
