The Worshipful Company of Launderers has announced that the 2019 travelling scholarships will take place this spring in Scandinavia. Jensen UK has agreed to host the event, which will include both factory and laundry visits.
Mike Cleaver of Jensen UK said: “As a quality-oriented company that is continuously growing and has a heritage of six successful decades in the laundry industry, the Jensen-Group recognises that finding the right talents to build a successful future is key.
“We are delighted that so many young professionals have accepted the invitation and we can’t wait to show them one of our manufacturing plants. At Jensen UK, we are training six young apprentices to ensure that we can continue to create the future in laundry automation. It will be a great opportunity for both groups to meet and exchange ideas.”
Applications were invited from members of the laundry industry who have had some experience and wish to gain further knowledge. The grant is made to suitable applicants to cover air fare and accommodation cost as well as food, for three nights.
