Xeros Technologies, the developer of polymer bead-based textile cleaning, has agreed to acquire Gloves Inc., which provides personal protection equipment (PPE) cleaning, inspection, and repair services from its facilities in the Atlanta and Miami areas. The announcement by Xeros follows its acquisition of the MarKen PPE restoration business in July 2017 and further expands the company’s presence in the firefighting PPE care market.
The Gloves business will be integrated into Xeros High Performance Workwear Division and will operate under the MarKen brand name.
Jeff Lockett, MarKen MD said: “This acquisition expands Xeros participation in a very important high-performance workwear market where the Xeros technology has the proven ability to clean and extend the life of the gear, while protecting the health and safety of firefighters and other first responders.”
MarKen will exhibit the Xeros solution at the annual FDIC International Conference on 23 – 28 April in the Indiana Convention Centre & Lucas Oil Stadium, Indianapolis, Indiana.
