The importance of marketing was a strong theme at the Textile Services Association’s successful special interest group members meeting, held on 24 February at Chesford Grange, Warwickshire.
The lead speaker, Philip Kalli of Ideal Manufacturing, explained the thinking behind his company’s promotional ideas, and showed how powerful social media can be with a little creativity and commitment.
Other speakers included the TSA’s political and public affairs advisor Darryl Howe, Paul Higgs of Dane Realstar, with Ceri Davies and Mark Reynolds addressing the retail session.
Gillian Farrar, campaign and communications leader, says the workshop sessions all delivered some provocative and positive discussions around healthcare, workwear, retail and the hotel/hospitality sectors.
"It was clear that the SIG delegates want to reach out and educate the market about textiles, laundries and drycleaning and show that textile care is a great industry and worth shouting about."
