ITSA, the International Services Alliance, was launched at Texcare by its founders, the European Textile Services Association, Textile Rental Services Association of America, Intex of Germany and the Federatie van de Belgische Textielverzorging/Féderation Belge du Textile (FBT).
The alliance has two main aims. First to build an international B2B textile services community that will compile and share studies, research, best practices and market figures. Second, to identify common concerns, challenges and research projects to minimise redundancies and maximise resources.
ITSA will be managed by a steering committee formed by representatives of the founders. Membership will be open to business-to-business associations but limited to one member per country.
In addition to the founding associations, the initial membership includes associations from Australia, Denmark, Finland, France, Italy, Switzerland, Norway, Sweden and the UK.
Meetings will be held annually to coincide with international conferences such as the Clean Show, Expo Detergo and Texcare International.
