In a presentation that combines humour with practical insights, he aims to stop people focussing on their problems and help them to move on and discover and implement solutions.

The TSA Scottish conference takes place on Friday 23 and Saturday 24 October at the Marriott Dalmahoy hotel and country club, near Kirknewton.

Conference chairman Donald Campbell, divisional director, Fishers Services, opens the conference at 2pm on Friday afternoon, followed by a talk by TSA president Colin Hill, who will also present certificates to the Laundry achievers of the year on Saturday morning.

Friday’s speakers include David Griffiths of Lilliput Services, Joachim Rauschmaier of Kannegiesser, Steve Niven of Sunlight Textile Services and John Scrimgeour of the Freight Transport Association, Scotland.

Saturday’s speakers are Richard Dul of MiRical Emblems and Bruce McHardy of Fishers Services. TSA chief executive Murray Simpson will present the association’s policy update before Paul McGee’s keynote presentation brings the conference to a close.

The Scottish gala dinner and dance takes place on Friday evening and there is a golf competition on Saturday afternoon and an informal dinner on Saturday night.
