Problem: These covers were drycleaned in accordance with the care label , but the frill became limp, creased and distorted, ruining the covers’ appearance.
Cause: The stiffening insert used to produce a firm frill to the covers was found to be softened by perc. the solvent implied by the care label in the covers themselves.
Responsibility: If covers are labelled for drycleaning, then all the component parts must be able to withstand the solvent. The blame here lies with the manufacturer.
