International Fabricare Institute represents retail and neighbourhood drycleaners, launderers, and wetcleaners nationally and internationally. IFI supports its members (approximately 6,000) through education, research, legislative representation, and other services. IFI will celebrate 100 years of representing drycleaners and launderers in 2007.
In August last year, IFI established the world’s most advanced drycleaning school in Laurel, Maryland.
IFI will be introducing its CD-ROM V. Described as the ultimate information source, it provides accelerated access to the best information in the industry, on subjects such as training new employees or explaining a process to customers.
Also on show will be IFI’s topic-specific videos, which include Joy of Stain Removal; Quality Finishing Techniques; Hazard Communication Standard; In-Plant Safety; and Quality Shirt Finishing Techniques.
IFI has a series of easy-to-understand consumer brochures full of fabric care information that are ideal for placing on counters for customers.
