Mr Dorrell will address the conference in a dual role, that of politician and that of his day job as chairman of Faithful, leading workwear and uniforms supplier to the rental industry. He will look at prospects for garment rental, as well as topical political matters.
The business programme will feature other well known industry speakers including Colin Stubbs of JohnsonDiversey, and Malcolm Gill, former publisher of Company Clothing, who will explain the potential for corporate careerwear.
In addition, Linda Smith, senior consultant with Enviros Environmental consultancy will address the Friday afternoon Scottish Area meeting on the impact of EN14001 on the laundry industry.
The conference also offers an attractive opportunity for socialising and networking.
The traditional social programme will include a golf tournament at the Silverknowes Links and a clay shooting competition.
The conference hotel is centrally based in Edinburgh’s West End with shopping and other attractions nearby.
