Textile specialist Klopman has developed Vektron 4010, a barrier fabric intended for use in making bedclothes and designed to prevent the triggering of dustmite allergies.
Dustmite allergens are said to be almost impossible to eliminate. Vektron 4010 works by providing a barrier to seal in the mite and its allergens so that the concentration of airborne allergens declines.
Vektron is a 110gsm 100% polyester that will withstand industrial laundering up to 70ºC, and is suitable for healthcare applications.
The fabric still allows air and water to pass through, avoiding any heat or humidity buildup. The material is also anti-static and free from linting.
