Danube International, based in France, is known world-wide as a manufacturer of industrial and commercial laundry equipment, and is a leading player in the flatwork dryer-ironer and barrier washer markets.
It has recently completed the installation of a US$ 220 000 laundry and drycleaning plant in the New Hilton Hotel in Sofia, Bulgaria and won the contract against competition from major manufacturers. In tendering for the contract, Danube was authorised to suggest alternatives to the original specifications and theses gave the benefit of increased capacities and decreased costs.
The equipment supplied included, three 67kg washer-extractors, two 30kg tumble dryers, one 3.2m flatwork dryer-ironer with feeder and folder, one 1.9m flatwork dryer-ironer, a drycleaning machine, two presses, a form finisher, and a marking machine.
