David C Muirhead passed away on 28 December 2000. Born in Scotland, Mr Muirhead entered the laundry business in Birmingham in 1938 when he joined the family firm. After service with the RAF he took part in the ABLC’s first post-war course.
He moved to the machinery side of the business in 1948 joining William Jack & Sons which later became Baker Perkins Jaxons and subsequently, Neil and Spencer.
David was known for his fairness and integrity and was well-respected by his many friends and colleagues in the laundry industry.
He leaves a widow, Mary and daughters, Susan and Anne.
