Polymark has overhauled the design of its Futurail monorail conveyor.

The new version is developed around a lightweight, extruded aluminium alloy rail that is surface hardened.

The rail features a stronger, more rounded geometric profile to meet the higher load-carrying capacity demands of modern industrial laundries.

The trolleys that carry the individual hanging loads have also been redesigned. They now have an injection-moulded reinforced body fitted with moulded, thermoplastic tyres for more durable contact against the rail and quiet, smoother operation.

A third key component that adds to the overall efficiency of Futurail is a lower articulating arm within the trolley. The arm incorporates a sealed thrust bearing that allows continuous free movement and improved load dissipation, giving the trolley assembly a highly desirable 3D motion.

This design greatly reduces ‘bag bounce’ and ensures that the bag gravitates freely at any speed throughout the system.
