Eco-laundry and drycleaning startup, Oxwash, today announced a partnership with Thrift+, a new, online charity donation service for for people to pass on their best old clothes. Offering super-easy donations via home collection or via Collect+ locations, Thrift+ makes it easier than ever to donate items , all while raising money for charity.

In 2020 Oxwash expanded its successful Oxford-born startup into two new cities, Cambridge and London. The partnership will mean Oxwash customers in these areas can now opt to receive a Thrift+ donation bag alongside their laundry collection to fill up with clothes they no longer need. The full bag will be collected by Oxwash on delivery and then sent to Thrift+.

Oxwash and Thrift+ share core values around sustainability and the circular economy. Both companies are tech-focused and are industry leaders in the charge of reducing the presence of fast fashion and encouraging sustainable fashion. This partnership announcement comes shortly after the announcement of Oxwash’s partnership with HURR – sustainable fashion rental platform.

Kyle Grant, Oxwash CEO and co-founder, said: “We are partnering to extend the availability of solutions that combat clothes being sent to landfill that could be reused. The bags will be available as an option to order (for free) at the Oxwash checkout. Our riders will come and collect our customers washing, and deliver a Thrift+ bag at the same time. Similarly, when we deliver the fresh laundry, we will collect the bag of clothes to donate at the same time.

The desire to live more sustainability, as easily as possible, will continue to rise in 2021, and we want to do all we can to help this.”

Both parties are excited about this new partnership and the benefits it brings to existing and potential customers in the fight for sustainable fashion.
